A 30 metre long Snow Slide will be taking up residency on the (not so) Flat Iron car park from Saturday 14 December until Sunday 5 January and to celebrate its launch there’s some extra special treats in store.
A stunning highway-abled land train will be transporting passengers from outside our one stop shop on Union Street, directly opposite from the Snow Slide and markets area on the (not so) Flat Iron car park into a very Christmassy Walled Garden in Astley Park at a cost of £1 per ride.
The timetable for the train pick-ups on Saturday 14 December and Sunday 15 December is as follows:
Walled Garden stop Union Street stop
The train will be transporting passengers from the Snow Slide to a twelve metre squared ice rink in the beautiful festive backdrop of Astley Park’s Walled Garden where there will also be mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies sold from a Cafe Ambio stall on both days.
On Sunday 15 December in Astley Hall there will be a chance to meet Father Christmas, free of charge although donations to the Friends of Astley Hall will be welcomed. Not only that, there will be even more festive markets in the park on the Sunday selling a wide range of unique treats including:
- Textiles and craft
- Micro brewery, craft beer gift packs for home consumption
- Pet food
- Handcrafted jewellery, cards, invitations etc.
- Sewing crafts
- Art prints
- Festive craft activities
- Artwork for interiors
- Cake pops, Christmas cakes
- Sweet and savoury pancakes
The main slide attraction is four metres high and gives fun-seekers the opportunity to slide down on rubber snowtubes at a value price of £2 for three slides.
The Snow Slide and festive markets will be open every day over the Christmas period on the (not so) Flat Iron car park from 10am until 8pm, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
