Grants available for groups

GROUPS and organisations across Chorley can get a welcome boost to their funds, thanks to Chorley Council.
We’re looking for groups who enhance the life of people in Chorley.

The council is offering grants of up to £500 each to groups in the voluntary, community or faith sector operating in the borough.

Eligible groups have until Friday 28 June to apply for small community grant funding with application forms available here

Councillor Bev Murray who is responsible for community development at Chorley Council, said: “We’ve put a pot of money aside to help these groups in the borough because they do vital work in our community and we’re keen to support them.

“We’re looking for groups who enhance the life of people in Chorley in a number of ways like providing recreational activities or helping to keep their neighbourhoods clean.  These are just two examples and I would urge groups to visit the council website for more information and get your applications in as soon as possible.”

Groups applying for the funding must meet the following criteria:
They must be a voluntary, community, faith sector group operating within the borough of Chorley
Individuals can’t apply for funding
