Chorley Pubwatch is a voluntary partnership of licensees who have agreed to work together to promote good practice, share information, prevent crime and anti-social behaviour; with the intention of creating a safer drinking environment in member premises.
The Pubwatch will work in partnership with the police, local authority and other agencies responsible for delivering Community Safety, for the benefit of the licensed trade and in order to improve the safety of staff and customers.
The Pubwatch will, at its discretion, collectively exercise its Common Law right to ban any person who the members believe may pose a threat to their businesses or the safety of their staff and customers.
Licensed Premises who want to join the Scheme
Any licensed premises within the Borough of Chorley is able to apply for full membership of the scheme. You can contact the Scheme Co-Ordinator by email: contact@chorley-pubwatch.co.uk.
Person subject to a Ban
If you have been informed you have been subjected to a ban, you can appeal this by submitting an appeal in writing to the Scheme within 28 days of being issued with a Banning Notice. You can submit an appeal by email: contact@chorley-pubwatch.co.uk.
Note: The Scheme is administered by its members. Chorley Council does not have any decision making role within the Scheme and simply publishes this webpage in support of the Scheme.
