Graffiti and fly posting
We will remove graffiti from any public building or item of street furniture with the highest priority given to racist or offensive graffiti.
Cases of fly-posting will be investigated, although posters for a local charitable organisations or local amateur dramatics group are not considered to be fly-posting. Advertising for events such as a circus or fairs may be permitted prior to the event.
You can report graffiti to us online.
How long it takes to remove graffiti
If the graffiti is racist or offensive, we will aim for it to be removed within 2 working days. For any other graffiti, we will aim to remove it within 28 days.
Graffiti on private land or property
Graffiti on private land or property should be reported to the police as criminal damage.
If the graffiti is a racist or personal attack
If you feel the graffiti is a racist or personal attack, you should report it to the police.
