Astley Village Community Centre improvements
We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully secured some time-limited grant funding to further improve Astley Village Community Centre. These upgrades are essential for maintaining and improving our facilities for the benefit of all users. We are always dedicated to delivering high-quality services to best support our residents and these works are paramount in achieving this.
We will unfortunately need to close the facilities for a temporary period. The closure is expected to last approximately 10 to 16 weeks, commencing from January 2026.
During this time, access to the centre will not be available to ensure the safety of all hirers, staff, and contractors while the works are in progress. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience and sincerely apologise for any disruption this may cause to your regular bookings or activities.
We truly appreciate your involvement and ongoing support of our centres. These works are essential to maintaining and improving our facilities for the benefit of all users, and we thank you for your understanding while they are completed.
Where possible, we will do our best to accommodate your bookings at alternative venues during the closure period

A minimum of 4 weeks' notice is required to book a community centre.
Booking enquiries are made via our online community centre booking enquiry form.
Once your enquiry has been completed, we will contact you to discuss the finer details of your request within 5 working days.

Centre open times
Astley Village Community Centre is available for hire 8am till 10pm, Monday to Sunday.

Large room
90 persons maximum capacity.
The large hall is suitable for celebration events, dance classes, sports and fitness and a wide range of social and community clubs and social events. There are a significant number of tables and chairs for general use by the hirer.
Small room
20 to 25 persons maximum capacity.
The smaller room is suitable for a wide range of smaller sessions and community groups.
General
The community centre offers all the standard amenities including kitchen, washrooms, an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities. With special arrangements for regular hirers, there may be options to utilise the dedicated secure storage areas should you wish to leave certain items on site between sessions.
The community centre also offers an enclosed external courtyard suitable for groups wishing to undertake smaller activities outside the main centre space.
The community centre is close to the historical Astley Hall and park grounds, which offer excellent amenities and space to undertake a wide variety of outdoor activities.

Adjacent to the centre is a large free public access car park with over 70 parking spaces.
