Chorley Council
If you are in need of emergency food support, we may be able to refer you to Living Waters our local food bank.
This is an emergency provision to support our most vulnerable residents in crisis. To ensure support can be given to those in need, you must satisfy the below criteria.
- you must demonstrate why you are in financial hardship and struggling
- you must demonstrate you are actively seeking support from other services for help
- no more than 6 referrals within 12 months, for repeat requests it is expected that you are accessing other forms of support to help your situation
- at least 1 month between referrals
- parcels are per household and should not be requested from more than 1 person who resides in the home. Evidence of proof of children residing in the home and proof of name/address may be requested
- food parcels must be collected within 1 week of referrals, this allows for 2 sessions available to collect either Tuesday or Friday
- Living Waters planned closures 2025: We will be closed on 25th August – 1st September and 22nd December – 5th January 2026.
