Support available
. a dedicated Key Worker for the duration of the programme
. access to support from a regional team of Health Practitioners and Educators who can provide advice and deliver sessions on aspects of mental and physical health where it might not be available locally, or there is a long waiting list
. access to a diverse range of support services that can help address concerns with health, life, skills and work
. specialist support where required, for example translation or signing services
. help with housing, money, relationships, skills and training, mental health, physical health, addiction and more
. assistance with joining a group or picking up an old or new hobby.
Training opportunities
Ingeus uses its relationships with Colleges and Training Providers to access externally funded training courses where they would benefit an individual's progression towards and into work.
Ingeus also holds a discretionary fund to help Work and Health Programme participants to overcome their barriers to starting work. This can include paying for training or license acquisition courses where external funding is not available.
Eligibility
The individual should be unemployed, but with the ambition to find paid work within the next 12 months.
They should also be a representative of one or more of the following groups to be eligible:
. having a physical or mental health condition or disability that is affecting day-to-day activities
. ex-offender
. carer
. ex-carer
. care leaver
. history of drug/alcohol dependency
. homeless
. veteran of the Armed Forces
. Armed Forces Reservist
. spouse or partner of a current or Veteran Armed Forces member
. refugee
. Young person in a gang
. victim of domestic abuse
