Chorley Council co-ordinate the Holiday Activity and Food Clubs (HAF) programme for the borough which is funded by the Department for Education.
The programme provides activities during Easter, Summer and Christmas school holiday periods and includes a meal. School aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits related free school meals can access this provision.
Activities take place at a variety of venues across the borough, with a range of activity providers making these sessions possible.
The timetable of activities will change from one holiday to the next. Up to date timetables will be shared through schools in the lead up to each holiday period. The booking system will show the different activities available within the Chorley Borough.

Please be aware that Lancashire County Council have worked with schools to issue voucher codes to families eligible to access HAF, and you will need that code to make a booking. If you have not received a voucher code, and you believe you should have please contact your children’s education provider in the first instance.
Please visit Holiday activities and food programme (HAF) - Lancashire County Council for more information on eligibility for vouchers.
Activity provider information
The HAF Programme was rolled out in 2021 to provide support for families experiencing cost of living challenges, by providing access for children eligible for free school meals (FSM) with quality physical enrichment activity and nutritious meals.
In line with national HAF requirements, 2024 to 2025 delivery of activities will be 1 week during Easter holidays, 4 weeks over the summer holidays and 1 week at Christmas.
The funding will cover a minimum of 4 hours of activity each day, 4 days per week. Food must be provided for all children and young people who participate, with all HAF funded and non-HAF funded children being offered the same meal options.
Chorley's provision is continually expanding and being developed to better meet the needs of families. If you are an activity provider and would like to discuss involvement in the programme, please email HAF.programme@chorley.gov.uk.
