Chorley Council co-ordinate the Holiday Activity and Food Clubs (HAF) programme for the borough which is funded by the Department for Education. The programme provides free activities during Easter, Summer and Christmas school holiday periods and includes a nutritious meal. School aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits related free school meals can access this provision.
Activities take place at a variety of venues across the borough, with a range of activity providers making these sessions possible including multi sports, football, cheer-leading, coding, forest school, arts and crafts and much more.
The HAF programme:
- is free of charge
- offers fun activities and experiences
- includes free food and refreshments.
FREE October Half Term Activities
Chorley Council are funding free activities and food clubs for October Half Term. School aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits related free school meals can access this provision.
You will need your HAF Code from Summer Holidays to access the provision. If you know you had a code but can not locate this now, please contact the activity provider or email haf.programme@chorley.gov.uk.
You will not be able to use the normal HAF booking system, you can only book a place through the activity provider. Please see whats on and booking links below.

Provider: Inspire Youth Zone
Location: Inspire Youth Zone, PR7 1BS
Times: Juniors (School Year 3 to 6) - Tuesday and Thursday 5.30pm till 8pm. Seniors (School Years 7+) - Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6pm till 9pm
Activity: Young people take part in all of Inspire activities, including football, dance, gym, arts, STEM, and our Teaching Kitchen.
Aswell as:
- Tuesday: Skateboarding sessions
- Thursday: Halloween Party with games, music, and themed activities
- Monday: Wigan Warriors Rugby and Skateboarding
- Wednesday: Blackburn Rovers Football and Climbing
- Friday: Scare Maze Halloween Event

Make a Christmas HAF booking for your child/children
To book HAF sessions, you will need an e-voucher code, look out for a text or email from hello@holidayactivities.com.
E-codes will be sent on 24 November 2025 for Christmas holidays.
The link provided in your email/text will take you to the booking website where you can register and book a HAF activity using the voucher code provided.

You will need a code to book a place.
Many clubs book up very quickly so please:
- only book a HAF place if you are going to use it
- cancel if you change your mind.
Please be aware that Lancashire County Council have worked with schools to issue voucher codes to families eligible to access HAF, and you will need that code to make a booking. If you have not received a voucher code, and you believe you should have please contact your children’s education provider in the first instance.
