Chorley Council co-ordinate the Holiday Activity and Food Clubs (HAF) programme for the borough which is funded by the Department for Education. The programme provides free activities during Easter, Summer and Christmas school holiday periods and includes a nutritious meal. School aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits related free school meals can access this provision.

Activities take place at a variety of venues across the borough, with a range of activity providers making these sessions possible including multi sports, football, cheer-leading, coding, forest school, arts and crafts and much more. 

The HAF programme:

  • is free of charge
  • offers fun activities and experiences
  • is for ages 4 to 16 years
  • includes free food and refreshments.

Christmas HAF bookings for your child/children

To book HAF sessions, you will need an e-voucher code, look out for a text or email from hello@holidayactivities.com.

E-codes will be sent on 24 November 2025 for Christmas holidays. 

The link provided in your email/text will take you to the booking website where you can register and book a HAF activity using the voucher code provided.

You will need a HAF code to book a place.

Many clubs book up very quickly so please:

  • only book a HAF place if you are going to use it
  • cancel if you change your mind.

Please be aware that Lancashire County Council have worked with schools to issue voucher codes to families eligible to access HAF, and you will need that code to make a booking. If you have not received a voucher code, and you believe you should have please contact your children’s education provider in the first instance.  You will receive a code for the area in where your child goes to school, if you would like to change to another area to access clubs please email haf.programme@chorley.gov.uk

Lancashire Wrestling Federation A typical day with our holiday club is as follows. · 10:30am – 12:00pm: Training in the wrestling ring with the Lancadores, four-time tag team champions who have competed on TV in the USA. · 12:00pm – 12:30pm: “A Day in the Life of a Wrestler” – a Q&A session with Maddie Morgan, one of our students currently being scouted by WWE, who will also discuss healthy eating. · 12:30pm – 1:00pm: Lunch break with LWF matches playing on TV. · 1:00pm – 2:00pm: Creative activities, including making signs for wrestling matches. · 2:00pm – 3:00pm: Mini wrestling show featuring teenage wrestlers, including The Packaman, Party Boy, and others.
