Planning on spending time outdoors? Us too!
The Countryside Code for visitors is your guide to visiting the countryside. It includes the rules you must follow when you’re enjoying parks and waterways, coast and countryside. View more information on The Countryside Code on the GOV.UK website.
By following the #CountrysideCode we can keep the great outdoors great.
- leave gates as you find them
- keep dogs on leads
- stick to paths
- don't litter
- don't light fires of any kind. Ever.
Lancashire Wildlife Trust have created a short video to encourage people to follow the Countryside Code this summer. The video focuses on five aspects of The Countryside Code: gates, dogs, paths, litter and fires, and was filmed in various locations (Pennington Flash, St Annes sand dunes and the West Pennine Moors around Rivington).
