About Chorley markets
There are 2 main markets in Chorley. Chorley covered market, which makes up the heart of the town and operates 5 days a week, and Chorley's Tuesday market, which sees everyone's favourite stalls lining Fazakerley Street, Chapel Street, New Market Street, Cleveland Street and the bottom half of High Street.
How to find Chorley markets
The market is ideally situated and is just a few minutes' walk from the town's bus and rail station with plenty of parking in the town centre. Chorley is located in the heart of the North West just minutes from the M61, M6 and M65.
Apply to be a market trader
Before you can open a market stall, you need to first apply to be a market trader. It is important that you identify which market stall you need to apply for, as you will need to include this on the application form.
Market traders parking permits
All market traders must pay for parking. We offer a 6 month parking permit for our market traders at a discounted rate which is operated by MiPermit.
Free coach parking is available on request at Chorley Bus Station (Chorley Interchange) for groups visiting Chorley markets. You will need to make sure you have booked a space in advance.
We offer a gazebo hire service for community events. We deliver, erect the gazebos and return to dismantle them at the end of the requested hire period.
Love your local market
Love your local market is a national campaign set to highlight the importance of local markets. It provides a national spotlight on markets across the country and is not only wholeheartedly supported by the industry, but also government and a range of other partners.
Food and craft market
We organise monthly specialist food and craft markets in the town centre to give local producers and cottage industries the opportunity to sell their goods directly to consumers.
