Chorley Council has achieved full certification against the nationally recognised Customer Service Excellence (CSE) Standard.
The accreditation, valid for three years, follows a rigorous assessment that highlighted the council’s strong performance and commitment to high-quality services.
The assessment noted strengths in corporate commitment and staff professionalism, awarding ‘Compliance Plus’ ratings in these areas. It also recorded a significant rise in customer satisfaction, from 67% to 74.4%, reflecting ongoing service improvements. The review commended Chorley’s supportive organisational culture, tailored support for vulnerable residents, and digital innovations that make services more accessible.
Cabinet Member for Customer, Streetscene and Environment, Councillor Adrian Lowe, said: “We are incredibly proud to achieve this national standard. It is a testament to our team’s hard work and our clear focus on putting residents first. This recognition validates our approach and strengthens our commitment to continuous improvement for everyone we serve.”
