As part of Chorley Council’s leisure modernisation work, a raft of exciting refurbishments will take place at All Seasons Leisure Centre from January 2026.

Energy efficiency measures will be installed along with a full and extensive upgrade to the gym facilities, including an expansion to create larger, more flexible spaces for weight training and resistance training.

The larger floor space and mezzanine area will accommodate state-of-the-art equipment, providing members with a top-tier fitness experience.

Visitors will also benefit from a complete refurbishment of the wet side changing village and dry side changing rooms, including the showering facilities and toilets. These upgrades will ensure a more comfortable and modern environment for all users.

The energy efficiency work will take place first and will see over cladding the roof, installation of solar panels with associated battery storage, and enhanced insulation and overall thermal performance.

Councillor Bev Murray, Executive Member for Early Intervention said, “It’s a really exciting time for All Seasons Leisure Centre and the refurbishments we are putting in place will make sure that we continue to provide a modern and fit-for-purpose facility for generations to come.

“We’re dedicated to investing in our leisure centres and look forward to the plans progressing and inviting even more members to improve their health and wellbeing with Chorley leisure.”

To facilitate the solar panel work, it is necessary to partially close the centre’s car park. The council aims to retain as many spaces as possible while the works take place and ample car parking is available across the site in other areas.

Councillor Murray continued, “January of course is a popular time for our leisure members and we’re working to make sure the disruption will be an absolute minimum.

“We are in conversation with nearby stores to allow for some of their spaces to be available for centre goers and we’ll share more information on this once confirmed.

“I look forward to the work progressing!”

The car park closure begins on 15 December affecting the whole of the overflow car park. The main car park will remain open.
