How to become a Warm Space
We are inviting local groups and organisations to enhance their weekly activity to support our residents through the current cost of living challenges by becoming a Warm Space again this winter.
To become a Warm Space you must simply sign our Warm Spaces Charter 23/24 and enhance the activity you currently run to meet the requirements of the Charter.
In summary you will be required to:
- Have regular weekly activity that lasts at least 2 hours
- Offer free entry
- Provide either free refreshments and/or meal or free access to household essential items (such as sanitary products, childcare essentials, hygiene products)
- Provide free access to device charging points and Wi Fi
- Provide signposting into additional cost of living and health and wellbeing support

There are also some simple monitoring requirements that you will be required to submit
Each Welcome Space will be eligible for a grant of £500.

Funding will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, with consideration for a broad range of activity that meets the diverse needs of communities across the borough.
