If we contact you via telephone, letter or by email and we do not hear back from you, it is likely we will visit your home to let you know that you need to self-isolate.

Any letters will come from Civic Offices, Union Street, Chorley, Lancashire, PR7 1AL and any officer who visits your home will have full proof of identification.
The data we will be using to contact people is a combination of that provided by the person to Public Health England (PHE) when they submitted their positive test and data we holds for other purposes.
We are utilising this data because of the public health urgency. View our privacy notice for more information.
The data that is shared between us and PHE is covered by a data sharing agreement set up to address the requirements for multi-agency working during the pandemic.
Staff accessing PHE's system must undertake training specifically for the purpose. They then must be authorised by PHE.

The test and trace support payment has been announced in response to feedback that some people were struggling to self-isolate due to financial constraints. It is to ensure that people on low incomes self-isolate when they test positive or are identified as a contact, and to encourage more people to get tested. This will help reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and avoid further restrictions, including local lockdowns.
