Please note that Cleveland Street (original) lower car park will be closed for the Chorley Live Event from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 October 2023. Furthermore, it will also be closed for 1 day on Monday 9 October 2023 for a Careers Event. Please use alternative car parks. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause
Town centre parking and charges
We are responsible for council owned car parks with over 1200 car park spaces near the town centre. All our car parks are situated within easy walking distance of the town centre with most of them offering free and low-cost parking.

Residents parking permits
The residents' parking permit scheme is operated and administered by Lancashire County Council. How to apply for a resident parking permit.
Long stay car park permits
We operate a long stay permit scheme through MiPermit which lets you park 7 days a week on any of our long stay car parks at discounted rates. You can buy a 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months permit at any time.
Electric vehicle charging points
There are 4 electric vehicle charging bays available on the Flat Iron car park and 2 on Cleveland Street car park. These charging points are free to use but please buy a valid pay and display ticket for the duration of the charging period.
Disabled parking
Blue badge holders are welcome on all our car parks. In addition to designated disabled parking spaces, all holders of official disabled permits may park for up to 4 hours free of charge in any space throughout the car park (except Flat Iron where there is a 2 hours maximum stay for all users).
Cashless parking payments
Cashless parking is available for all our pay and display car parks using a safe and secure system called MiPermit.
Coach parking
Free coach parking is available on request at Chorley Bus Station (Chorley Interchange) for groups visiting Chorley markets. You will need to make sure you have booked a space in advance.
