Proxy votes (someone voting on your behalf)
Voting by proxy means that you can appoint someone else to vote on your behalf.
Your proxy would need to vote at the same polling station you would vote at yourself. However, if they wish to, your proxy could apply to vote by post as a postal proxy voter.
If they wish to become a postal proxy they should contact the elections office by emailing email@example.com or by calling 01257 515132.
Chorley Borough Council
Your chosen proxy must also be eligible to vote in the same type of election, and can be proxy for a maximum of 2 people (or more if the people are close relatives).
The deadline for applications to vote by proxy is by 5pm, 6 working days before polling day.
