Affordable warmth and energy switching
We are committed to helping our residents achieve affordable warmth in their homes.
Below you will find a range of services that can save you money and help you stay warm over the winter:
- Free boiler services
- Energy switching advice
- Financial assistance for energy efficiency
- Warm home discounts and winter fuel payment
We offer targeted assistance for eligible households to keep domestic boilers working safely and as efficiently as possible during the winter months.
From October 2022 through to the end of March 2023, we will be encouraging residents to apply for a free boiler service.
We will be working in partnership with Preston Care and Repair: all boiler services will be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Please note that this offer is available to Chorley residents who meet all the below criteria:
- own their own home
- are aged 60 or over
- are in receipt of either income or disability related benefits (e.g. Guaranteed Pension Credit)
Please also note that the scheme is intended to assist households with functioning boilers - it is not a repairs service for residents whose boilers need to be repaired or replaced.
Householders who wish to inquire about eligibility for a replacement boiler should contact Cosy Homes in Lancashire on 03306 061 488 or visit the Cosy Homes website.
If you meet the above eligibility criteria and would like to apply for a free boiler service, simply download and complete this and return it via email to email@example.com.
Alternatively, you can contact us on 01257 515151 and request an application form to be sent to you.
We offer an energy switching support service in partnership with Citizens Advice, where an energy expert will review your energy bills and tariff information and help you to switch to a more competitive tariff and/or energy provider.
To use this service please contact us on 01257 515151 and ask to speak to the Home Improvement Agency.
We also support the work of Cosy Homes in Lancashire.
This is a partnership comprising of various councils across Lancashire and offers residents access to energy efficiency grants, affordable heating solutions, energy advice and support on a range of money saving energy measures, which will help you heat and insulate your home.
