Chorley Council co-ordinate the Holiday Activity and Food Clubs (HAF) programme for the borough which is funded by the Department for Education. The programme provides free activities during Easter, Summer and Christmas school holiday periods and includes a nutritious meal. School aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits related free school meals can access this provision.

Activities take place at a variety of venues across the borough, with a range of activity providers making these sessions possible including multi sports, football, cheer-leading, coding, forest school, arts and crafts and much more.

The HAF programme:

  • is free of charge
  • offers fun activities and experiences
  • is for ages 4 to 16 years
  • includes free food and refreshments.

Summer 2026 Holiday Activities

To book HAF sessions, you’ll now need an e-code provided by your child’s school, look out for a text or email from hello@holidayactivities.com

HAF e-codes for the Summer holidays will be sent on Monday 22 June 2026

The link provided, in your email or text, will take you the booking website where you can register and book a HAF activity using the voucher code provided.

Please visit Holiday Activities website for more information on how this works for you.

You will need a HAF Code to access the boking system and book a place.

Many clubs book up very quickly so please:

  • only book a HAF place if you are going to use it
  • cancel if you change your mind to allow other children to enjoy the activities.

Please be aware that Lancashire County Council have worked with schools to issue voucher codes to families eligible to access HAF, and you will need that code to make a booking. If you have not received a voucher code, and you believe you should have please contact your children’s education provider in the first instance.

Please visit Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF) - Lancashire County Council for more information on eligibility for vouchers.

You can only use the voucher to book activities in the district where your child goes to school. e.g. If your child goes to school in Chorley, you will only be able to view activities within the Chorley area.

If your child needs to attend a club in another district, you can request a new voucher for that district.

You must request the new voucher before you book any places. If you request a new voucher, you will not be able to book clubs in the district your original voucher was allocated to.

To request an area change, please email haf.programme@chorley.gov.uk
