General Elections 2024 - Frequently Asked Questions

You can have a replacement postal voting pack if it is spoiled, but see some common issues we are asked about:

• if you wrote in a colour pen that was not black the postal vote will still be accepted.
• if they made the wrong choice - if you make it clear who they should have voted for it will be accepted.
• if you have used the envelopes incorrectly - if you can put everything into one envelope we will accept it.
• if you have ripped your postal vote, you can tape it back together. 
• if signed the wrong postal voting statement - cross out the signature and date of birth and replace it with the correct signature and date of birth. Even if it's not within the two boxes it will still be accepted.
