Grey bin (garden waste)
The grey bin is for your compostable garden waste which is a chargeable service.

Things that should go in your grey bin:
- grass
- leaves
- flowers and plants - with the soil removed
- weeds
- twigs and small branches
- windfall fruit
- houseplants and flower cuttings
- real Christmas trees (chopped up)
- hay / straw - soiled animal bedding from non-meat eating animals only e.g. rabbits, guinea-pigs
- vegetable waste from the garden only - e.g. potato tops (not kitchen waste).
Things that cannot go in your grey bin:
- large branches and pieces of wood
- treated or painted wood
- soil and turf
- stones, rubble, hardcore, sand, grit
- cat litter and dog faeces
- plastic bags, flower pots, trays or any other plastic items
- food or kitchen waste
- vacuum dust or fire cinders.
