Help available if you are having difficulty paying Council Tax
If you are struggling to pay your Council Tax or are behind with your payments, contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to try and resolve the problem with you.
We can spread your payments over 12 months instead of the usual 10 to reduce the amount you need to pay each month. View more information on paying Council Tax by Direct Debit.
You can also make your own payment plan/arrangement. You will need to set up an online Council Tax account to do this.
If you are unable to pay the current years Council Tax before the end of the financial year (31 March) or if you are struggling with your payments please let us know by emailing contact@chorley.gov.uk
