Advisor Role
Location: Office based
Qualifications, skills, knowledge or experience required
- full training will be provided
- have good interpersonal skills, computer and maths skills. Be willing to follow the aims and principles of Citizens Advice Bureau.
Key duties and responsibilities
- talk with clients to explore their problems and help them understand their options
- write summaries of issues and action taken
- navigate through our online systems to provide the right information
- Recognise when a person may require specialist help
- making referrals to other organisations, for customs to access support.
Time commitment
8 hours a week and above for a minimum of 12 months.
Administrator
Location: Office based
Qualifications, skills, knowledge or experience required
Are you approachable, reliable and able to demonstrate the following skills:
- comfortable using IT and have digital skills as you will scan and attach documents to emails and our internal systems, create new documents etc
- able to learn how to use our internal systems as you will ensure client profiles are correct, input new referrals onto our systems and send weekly advice clinic appointments out to partners
- retrieve and action client voicemails from our phone system / emails from our online enquiry system
- retrieve and action voicemails left by clients on our appointment line
- develop ideas for organising and generating reports or updating information
- researching opportunities for service developments and/or marketing promotions
- comfortable when dealing with partner organisations by phone or email
- able to work with others undertaking the same role.
Key duties and responsibilities
This role supports the wider team to ensure the administrative side of the work is undertaken in a timely manner, accurately recorded and maintained to a high standard. Admin roles are available across the service including volunteer support, promotional and marketing work, reception and advice work.

A minimum of 1 day per week
IT Support
Location: Office based
Qualifications, skills, knowledge or experience required
Are you approachable, reliable and able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Undertake data cleansing and reload computers with our Google (and some Windows) operating systems.
- Prepare mobile phones for use by volunteers and staff
- Install and manage computers and printers on our network
- Assist with problem solving and suggest ways to improve
- Keep our IT inventory tidy
- Keep our asset register accurate and up to date
- Comfortable when dealing with volunteers and staff by phone or email
- Able to work with others undertaking the same role.
Key duties and responsibilities
This role will assist our small IT team to manage our network, intranet, websites, computers, mobile phones and users.
Time commitment
A minimum of 1 day per week.
