First Kick Foundation – NEET Support Programme – Kickstart your Career
Our NEET Support Programme provides tailored, one‑to‑one support for young people aged 16–18 who are not currently in education, employment, or training. We work with each young person individually to understand their gaps and challenges, and we provide advice to develop their goals, strengths, and how to overcome barriers, before creating a personalised pathway into positive opportunities.
What we offer
- Weekly 1:1 sessions with a dedicated mentor
- Support to develop CVs, cover letters and job applications
- Interview preparation using practical tools such as STAR
- Guidance on exploring careers, apprenticeships, college courses and training
- Help accessing work experience and volunteering
- Confidence building, motivation and wellbeing support
- Signposting to specialist services when needed
Our approach is flexible and built around the young person. Sessions take place in the community, or in settings where the young person feels comfortable. We support participants until they are ready to progress into their next steps.
Eligibility
Young people aged 16–18 living in Chorley who are not in education, employment or training.
Referral
Referrals are welcomed from professionals, parents/guardians, or young people directly.

First Kick Foundation – Parents Support Programme – Building Bridges
Our Parents Programme provides supportive, accessible, and practical guidance for any parent over the age of 18. The programme is designed for those who may have been out of work for a period of time and who want to move closer to employment, education, and / or training while balancing family life.
What we offer:
- 1:1 personalised support with a dedicated mentor
- Group sessions to improve communication skills and collaboration
- Help building confidence, routine and motivation
- CV building, job searching and career planning
- Exploring flexible training, courses and family‑friendly employment options
- Support with childcare pathways, funding options and local services
- Wellbeing support and signposting to wider specialist help
- A flexible approach that fits around parenting responsibilities
The programme is designed to reduce barriers, provide career support, increase confidence, and give parents the tools and support they need to take positive steps for themselves and their families.
Eligibility
Any parent aged 18 and above living in Chorley who is currently unemployed.
Referral
Referrals accepted from any partner agency or self‑referral.
